I have recently found out the joy that a grandchild can bring to a family. Baby Jeffrey Mitchell Fitzpatrick was born on July 16, 2009 at 4:58pm. He has brought so much joy to all that know him. I feel truly blessed!

Hello Deviant Friends


It has been almost two months since I've written in my journal. I haven't been spending as much time on because I have discovered the apps on Facebook and am enjoying them so much! My husband plays them too so it's fun to play them together!
If anyone wants to play apps with me on Facebook, I play Farm Town, Farmville, Pet Society, Super Poke Pets, Yoville, Fish World, and lots of Mindjolt games!

I haven't given an update on my health lately and I'm happy to say it's good for a change. Most of you know I've been seeing the Oncologist every 3 months for the past 2 years. I recently saw him in August and have now graduated to going every 6 months for the next 3 years! His office is moving so the trip will be a bit further and the next time I go will be in February which is one of our worst months for snow. But I am thankful that I am here, I am healthy, and I will do what I must to stay that way! Woo hoo! I've also recently had blood work done as my doctor was considering putting me on medication for diabetes. I've controlled it by exercise and diet since January, 2007. I am happy to say that I've done well with this too! If anyone knows what an A1C number is they will appreciate that mine is 5.8!! Yay! I have to pat myself on the back as I work constantly on my pre-diabetes to keep the numbers down. I know one day it will get me anyway, but for now I am still winning!

I am enjoying my grandson bigtime! I had no idea just how much joy this little guy was going to bring me! He's coming over today for a picnic, I can't wait to see him! (He was born July 16, 2009.)

My camera died. I used it so hard for so long. I know I was overdue for a new one but I loved it so much. It was a simple Fuji Finepix and I'm getting another Fuji Finepix ~ I need something simple and Fuji worked for me in the past. Better pixels is always a good thing!!

My cats are all doing well! They are not sure what to think about this baby that invades their territory every once in awhile. When he cries, they look so darned concerned it's beautiful!

September marks the anniversary of my Angel Baby Kristian along with other anniversaries. September reminds me of the family I've lost.

September 4th - The birth of my angel baby Kristian
September 6th - The death of my angel baby Kristian
September 7th - The wedding anniversary of my parents
September 8th - My mother's birthday/Day baby was buried

I always feel better after September passes. Then my favorite time of year arrives as I simply LOVE Autumn! I'll have a new camera to take beautiful photos this year!!

I have not been spending much time on but I wanted to take a minute to thank all of my friends and watchers. I really appreciate your support and I have fallen so far behind that this is the only way to thank all of you!

The time is almost here now for my grandchild to arrive. Baby Jeffrey is due to arrive next week. His mommy is being induced next Thursday so I do not have much more time to wait this out. I cannot wait to meet him!

I joined facebook and I have to tell you that I am enjoying it very much. I have connected with lots of people from my past and it's been so much fun playing the games. I have not written about my health in awhile and I thought it was time for an update. I still visit the Oncologist every three months and so far so good. Last week I went for a dexa scan and that did not come out so good.

I had been dealing with Osteopenia and taking Fosamax since 1998. This newest scan shows me as now having Osteoporosis. It also indicates that I may have a deficiency in Vitamin D and they recommend testing for parathyroid disease. When I told my sister she told me our mother had one of her parathyroid glands out when she was in her 50s. If this is the case, at least it will explain why I lack energy, don't sleep well, have kidney stones, bone pain, etc. You can read more about this here if you wish:

If you don't see me online much or notice not as many comments on your deviations, etc. it is because everything I do is an effort and it's all I can do to get through my work days and do what I have to at night to get ready for the next work day. I am really hoping they get to the bottom of this and soon. I'm tired of dragging myself around. I want to have lots of energy like I did before. If this can be done with a simple mini-surgery, I say let's get it done!
